Shag Gin
Collector Release III
The final allocation of Shag Gin Desert Bloom. Following the 200-bottle Modernism Week debut and Collector Release II, the third and final run brings the edition to a close with just 300 hand-signed bottles.
Created as a celebration of cocktail culture, mid-century design, and the distinctive visual world of artist Josh Agle (Shag), Desert Bloom retires after this release—no further runs, no reissues.
Each bottle is individually signed and numbered by the artist. Once the last 300 are gone, Desert Bloom belongs only to those who collected it.
The Artist
The World of Shag
Josh Agle—known as Shag—is a painter, designer & illustrator. His sharply rendered, vividly colored panels celebrate cocktail culture, lavish interiors and sly humor, drawing on five decades of commercial illustration yet infused with a contemporary edge.
Exhibited across the U.S., Europe, Japan, Australia and South America, Shag opened his own gallery & boutique in Palm Springs in 2010—the world’s first retail space dedicated solely to his art.
For Desert Bloom, Shag hand-signed every bottle.

The Story Behind the Bottle
When we first began discussing the idea of Shag Gin, our goal was simple: to create something that felt less like a traditional spirits release and more like a collectible object that celebrated the world of Shag.
Palm Springs has long been associated with cocktail culture, mid-century design, and a certain playful sophistication that has inspired much of Josh Agle’s work. The idea of capturing that spirit in a bottle—something that collectors could display, share, or preserve—felt like a natural extension of that universe.
The result is the inaugural Shag Gin edition—hand-signed, numbered, and released in three collector waves. From the beginning, we imagined these bottles living alongside Shag prints and objects in collectors’ homes—part design piece, part celebration of cocktail culture.
During Modernism Week, the first 200 bottles quickly found homes with collectors, which confirmed what we had hoped: that people would see this bottle not just as gin, but as a small artifact of the Shag world.
Collector Release II followed, finding its way into bars, collections, and curated displays across the country.
Today we release the third and final run of 300 bottles—200 offered online and 100 reserved for Palm Springs. After this run, Desert Bloom retires—no further allocations, no reissues. Many collectors have told us they plan to keep their bottles sealed, preserving them as signed objects from this first chapter of Shag Spirits.
Whether you choose to enjoy the spirit or preserve the bottle, we hope it brings a bit of Palm Springs cocktail imagination into your home.
Thank you for being part of the beginning of this project.
